Well I was so pleased to see this game today as I have been re-caught up in the TM bug & have replayed all my favs & often visit (should that read stalk?) Wendigostudios website for a new timebuilders episode. (Albeit with a dose of headache meds handy. Going to finish the demo later, to make sure it plays through cleanly, but, I'm pretty sure I'll be buying this one as soon as the demo runs out. It is (I think) an attempt to give it a more 3D appearance, but for some reason, it just makes my head start feeling like I have a headache coming on. Negative for me, is the offset overhead view. While you are upgrading a tent, the rent timer pauses, which is sort of nice, because you don't lose a rent cycle for upgrading. Workers must return to main building to before getting more work, which I don't care for, but with unlimited workers, the next heads out anyway. You get unlimited workers, so no struggling to get enough money for workers AND supplies, or waiting around for workers to finish and return for more work.

I have not failed to make the gold time in the few levels I've played, so I'm not sure on what happens if you do in the timed version (fail, or just no medal). In the timed mode, it hasn't been bad enough that it's just frantic click click clicking. It has a casual (not timed) mode, for those that enjoy this type game, but not the rush. You can also skip the tutorial, I didn't, as it made it sound like it skipped it completely, not just 'I got this part, move along, please,' and I've missed out on needed instructions before by completely skipping the tutorial. You can click through the text, via Skip or next buttons, so fast readers don't have to choose between sloooowly listening to the voice over, or skipping the intro altogether. It is a builder-type, as noted, and once I've had time to play more I'll edit my post if I find anything else that I feel needs mentioning, but I think I've covered most of it here. I have only demoed a few levels, as I'm out of time to play for tonight, but so far, I really like this one. WOO HOO! Finally! A game worthy of dusting off one of my poor neglected credits.
